OUR STORY
Family-Owned Business
Flood Zone Marketplace and Brewery is a place deeply rooted into the hard working community of Union Bridge. Originally operating as a family-owned grocery store in the 1960’s, this historic building has survived countless storms over the last sixty years, including Tropical Storm Agnes in 1972, and stands as a testament to the resilient spirit of its community.

Jerry and Beth Stambaugh purchased the building on the banks of Little Pipe Creek in Fall 2018 with a vision to create a unique space within Union Bridge for travelers and local citizens alike to come together and enjoy this beautiful community. The Flood Zone Marketplace houses vendors offering fresh, local produce, groceries, and crafts. Make sure to take advantage of The Food Spot within Flood Zone as well, so you can have a bite to eat while you shop. Hard work and diligence fueled the renovations that have produced Flood Zone Marketplace and Brewery and we hope that you will join us here for some creek side shopping and sipping.
While in town, please take the time to see what else Union Bridge has to offer. Visit our historic Train Museum, walk the scenic nature trails along Little Pipe Creek, or have a delicious meal at one of our local restaurants. We can’t wait to see you!
Our Mission
Our mission at Flood Zone Brewery is to create quality beer that all patrons will love. To support our local breweries and community. To enrich the lives of our customers by creating a fan base of newcomers and enthusiasts alike, while educating all about craft beer. To treat our employees like family with the utmost respect and loyalty. To always strive to do better, be better, and produce better beer. To create a fun and welcoming environment for all who visit our establishment. And to celebrate the good life together that is craft beer.
WE SUPPORT LOCAL. Join us in our fundraising efforts and special events!
We know the importance of supporting our local establishments, families and service providers. We host several events each year, including our annual mini boat parade in July that benefits the Union Bridge and New Windsor Fire Departments, as well as a fundraiser supporting fallen firefighters during labor day weekend.
